The redevelopment of the Rijksweg (N36) in Izegem is one step further. Phase three of the project has recently started, between the roundabouts of the Burgemeester Vandenbogaerdelaan and the Kortrijksestraat, towards Harelbeke.
The traffic towards Harelbeke can continue to use the national road. For local traffic towards Roeselare there is a detour via the Kortrijksestraat. Traffic that comes from Harelbeke must follow a detour via the N50 and the Brugsesteenweg, up to the Roeselare-Beveren driveway.
