The decision surprised
The end of the talk show came as a surprise to Nyberg.
– This was a surprise and this was also a disappointment. I would have done this, done even more. This is what the wise men of the village have decided, the journalist told Iltalehte in October.
Head of Yle’s procurement, rights and sales department Tarmo Kivikallio commented on the desire to renew the software behind the termination decision.
– We want to bring new content. Arto Nyberg has served very well for 20 years, which is an exceptionally long time for one program. It was considered that it is time to reform and bring new content to TV1’s basic audience, Kivikallio stated.
