A very diligent police officer observed a family in Son for more than two years because he suspected something was wrong. The couple with three children drove an expensive Volkswagen Tiguan while receiving social assistance benefits.
The police officer therefore wondered: what makes them do it? The couple from Son and both their parents were arrested and put in jail after a long investigation with observations and telephone taps.

Winner (71) of ‘dusted’ MINI reports, but he doesn’t need the car
The winner of the MINI Cooper that was collecting dust at the Cassandraplein in Eindhoven finally reported two weeks ago. The winning ticket was sold a year ago. The electric car was a prize in last year’s New Year’s Eve draw. The winner is a 71 year old man. “I didn’t sleep well last night,” he said.

Group of friends with wheelchair patient expelled from Efteling: ‘Afraid of protest’
What should have been a fun day at Efteling for a group of fourteen friends for the first time in years, ended in an upset ride back home. The group had done everything they could for a day out with their chronically ill friend. But upon arrival at the park, they were kicked out by security. “Our day collapsed. We didn’t understand it,” said Sam (26).

Woman almost raped on the way to work, neighbor intervenes heroically
A Tilburg woman was hit hard by a man last year and pulled to the ground by her hair. The man then pulled down the woman’s pants and tried to rape her. A neighbor who woke up to her cries for help quickly intervened and pushed the man off the woman. Omroep Brabant
At the end of September, the court in Breda took another detailed look at what happened that early Sunday morning of December 3. Two weeks after the publication of this story, the perpetrator, Marius D., was given a two-month prison sentence by the judge.

Cor lay on Jumbo grounds for hours with a brain haemorrhage, family went to court
Truck driver Cor Hooijmans had to unload a load at the Jumbo distribution center in Den Bosch in early January. At the unloading site, near his truck, he suffered a brain haemorrhage and collapsed.
Cor lay on the ground for hours before he was discovered. He died in hospital not much later. His family now holds Jumbo and employer Simon Loos liable for his death.

Owner does not understand the closure of the MOT company by the RDW and files a case
The company Verschuren APK and Bandenservice BV from Beek en Donk was closed indefinitely by the National Road Transport Agency (RDW) on October 18. All seven of the company’s inspectors have also been suspended for one year. According to the RDW, there was so much wrong with the company that closure was the only option.

Bryan lets others press the button on the Efteling roller coaster and loses his job
21-year-old Bryan from Oosterhout works as an operator of the Baron 1898 roller coaster in the Efteling. This means that he presses the button to make the trains leave. Until one day two former colleagues came by and wanted to press the start button in the control room again.
He didn’t think that was a problem, but when Efteling found out, he was demoted. He demanded his old job back through the courts. And with success.
