National organizations
In addition to the local organizations in Zoetermeer, there are also national initiatives. These are a few.
Switchboard
An organization where everyone can go with questions about sexuality, (gender) identity or if you are concerned about someone around you. Switchboard is the LGBTQIA+ helpline of COC Netherlands with which you can call, chat or email.
Transvision
This is an advocacy organization for transgender and gender diverse people. Transvision provides information about, for example, current waiting times in gender care, there is a knowledge center with information about hormones, among other things, and you can ask questions about reimbursements.
Outway
The Outway foundation organizes activities for LGBTQIA+ young people between the ages of 13 and 25. For example, there is a Hojo camp in the summer and a Hojo weekend several times a year. The name of these events has to do with the Hojobuddys of Outway: people from the rainbow community who are available to other LGBTQIA+ people with questions and tips.
Ihlia
Heritage organization Ihlia maintains an archive of LGBTQIA+ history. This includes historical magazines and items of clothing, but also videos, pamphlets and sound fragments. The website also contains an agenda with Ihlia activities, such as exhibitions and tours.
