The Office of the President of the Republic reveals to Iltalehti what the guests of the Castle’s celebrations left in the Presidential Palace on Independence Day.

– Among the finds at the President of the Republic’s Independence Day reception are odd earrings and glasses. Other found goods have been returned to their owners, the office says.

Among the items found, there is no item that caused the situation in the handshake queue at the Castle party. At that point, Stubb turned to his adjutant and asked him to pick something up from the floor. The adjutant picked up the object from the carpet and quickly took it behind the post.

Iltalehti was told by the office of the President of the Republic that a heel tag had fallen from the guest’s shoe.

There were some memorable moments at this year’s Linna party. For example, the former prime minister Sanna Marin gave an interview after a year and a half of media silence for MTV. He said, among other things, that only good things are said about Finland in the world.
