Nintendo Direct 2022 has given us a preview of upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch. TECHBOOK summarized the event.
At the Nintendo Direct, the company is presenting what gamers can expect in the near future. This usually includes news about upcoming games from popular franchises and console hardware. The first Nintendo Direct for 2022 gave us almost 40 minutes of game announcements. Switch owners can look forward to new titles, ports and remasters.
Nintendo Switch Sports
The successful Wii Sportsseries finally gets a sequel to the Switch. The package includes football, volleyball, tennis, badminton and bowling. Nintendo Switch Sports will launch on April 29, 2022.
Mario Strikers: Battle League
Gets a break after 15 years Mario Strikers Charged WithMario Strikers: Battle League finally a successor. The football game with 5v5 matches, special moves and power-ups is scheduled for release on June 10th, 2022.
No Man’s Sky
The space exploration game No Man’s Sky gets a switch port just in time for its sixth birthday. Although initially savaged by critics, Publisher Hello has rounded out the game of epic proportions with numerous updates over the past five years. All of these updates should be included in the Switch implementation. The game will be released in summer 2022.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC
Instead of a sequel, Nintendo has new DLCs for Mario Kart 8 announced. 48 reissued routes from older ones Mario Karttitles are to be released in a total of six stages between March 18, 2022 and 2023. The DLCs are available as part of the Deluxe Booster Course Pass.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Developer Monolith Soft has a sequel to the open-world role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 2 announced.Xenoblade Chronicles 3 continues the story of its predecessors in the war-ravaged world. The game is scheduled for release in September 2022.

- front mission and Front mission 2 are reissued for the Switch.
- The remakes for Advance Wars 1 and advance wars 2 got a new trailer before launch on April 8, 2022.
- The NES and SNES classics EarthBound and Earth Bound Beginnings come to the retro offering of Nintendo Switch Online.
- the Chrono trigger-Spin off Chronocross from 1999 gets a remaster for the Nintendo Switch. The game is coming April 7, 2022.
- Metroid Dread gets an update that lowers the game difficulty or increases it even more with Instadeath.
- Splatoon 3 got a new trailer. The game is scheduled for release in summer 2022.
