Cheap parking
If you really can’t avoid paying parking, IJmuiden is the cheapest in the province at 1.30 euros per hour and 2.60 euros per day.
In Beverwijk the first hour is free and after that it costs 1.65 per hour. A day of parking there costs 14 euros.
A stone’s throw from the relatively expensive Hilversum is Bussum, one of the cheapest places. There you pay 1.70 per hour and 15.30 euros for a whole day. Bergen is also considered a cheaper place with 14.40 euros to 39.60 euros per day, depending on the zone.
And if you want to park completely free, you can go to places like Den Helder, Diemen or Aalsmeer.
Exceptions
But there are also exceptions. For example, in coastal towns such as Zandvoort and Bloemendaal you have a seasonal rate. In Zandvoort you pay 22 euros for a day of parking in the summer and 78 euros for a day in the winter. In Bloemendaal, parking costs 1.75 euros per hour in the low season and 4.80 euros in the summer.
In Heerhugowaard you can only park in the center with a permit; visitors can only park in garages or the P+R.
And in Amstelveen you can only park with a day ticket of 16 euros, valid for a maximum of 4 hours. This place does not have an hourly rate.
