Crisis in the electric car market?

In 2024, the number of new registrations of electric cars fell again for the first time. According to the Federal Motor Vehicle Authority, 80,609 BEV electric cars were registered in this country last year – 144,000 fewer than in 2023. This means that electric cars accounted for 13.5 percent of total registrations, compared to 18.4 percent in the previous year.

Progress in alternative drives

In addition to electric cars, manufacturers are increasingly relying on alternative drives such as hydrogen fuel cells and plug-in hybrids.
