These are the candidates of B&B Vol Liefde. The Groningen truck driver Harmjan shines with the strict Astrid in Austria

Last year’s summer hit, the RTL reality program B&B full of love, in which Dutch owners of B&Bs look for love, got off to a flying start. These are the candidates and of course there is another Groningen star!

Astrid (48) in Austria is the undisputed talker of the season, already. Her B&B is very similar to Caroline’s (with dog Roosje, remember) from last summer. Her character is a lot tougher. Astrid doesn’t let herself be walked over, in fact, she waltzes over the feelings of her love candidates herself. Does the first hopeful man Alex want another glass of wine the first night after being sent to bed with black coffee? She’s not interested in that. He also dared to knock on her bedroom door, and she will have a hearty conversation with him the next day. “You’re crossing my line,” she says. She adds action to the word by going out for dinner alone with her children the next evening, he just sorts it out in the B&B.

When the Groningen truck driver Harmjan Bootsman arrives, she sends Alex straight back home. He goes straight away, but not without bringing another cucumber from the fridge (which he had bought for his solo dinner). Harmjan remains stunned, but in the course of the days we see that it clicks much better between him and Astrid, but also with her children. Which, unlike the first candidate, he is allowed to see.

‘She has short hair and no ass’, but there is a French kiss

Widower Richard (50) with a far from finished B&B in Portugal (reminds us of the nice spring in the field Vincent from last year!) is second to none. The self-proclaimed ADHD person isn’t impressed at first by the tough Simone’s video, but within two days she has it on, they share a French kiss and maybe more. This is already a lot more in the first week than happened in the entire previous season combined. Richard’s lived-in face beams as he talks about his feelings in his own way: “She has short hair and no ass, but yes.”

It is quieter, whether or not deadly boring with Martijn (31) in Portugal. Rather than the bee a love, he still crawls on his parents’ lap, who are therefore present at almost every contact / date / job interview with the women. Chance of love? Say nil, but who knows, the season may surprise us. In any case, Britt from Groningen didn’t like it. ,,I’m from the city after all,” she said just before she left the quiet village and left visibly relieved. Fortunately for Martijn, yoga-Simone seems very impressed by him. She flew all the way from Hawaii to him. We don’t know how boring it was in Hawaii, but she seems determined to move in with him.

Denise (31) in Spain also takes it easy, her days consist of sports and talking about sports with her two gentlemen. We’ll come with more news as there is.

Jovial Ted and the Great Dane rules the love life of French Hans

A relief is the hospitable, jovial Ted (67) in Madeira. A woman who knows how to take care of herself, but who is also genuinely open to love. She receives a visit from Piet, but he does not know whether he can join her social class. As an experienced carpenter, however, he prepares the terrace for her, very touching.

There are two Hansen this season. Hans (54) in Italy is going a bit fast with the beautiful blond Hayriye. He can’t remember her name, but otherwise he dreams of a future together. That is strongly disturbed by the somewhat hysterical Desiree. Hayriye gets too upset when Desiree gets so angry that there are no pickles for dinner that Hans has to come back from work to calm things down.

French Hans (59), wears vampire-like symbols and is ruled by his Great Dane. He also sleeps in his bed. Is there still room for a woman? The candidates wonder that too.

Zenmaster keeps looking for WiFi

Natasja (48) France is good-natured but a bit shocked when the ‘Zen master’ Dirk appears on the scene. He says he likes peace and relaxation and sprinkles with Japanese wisdom, yet he is mainly concerned with the WiFi code. He even makes a separate trip out of it to buy a WiFi amplifier and then forgets to bring Natasha’s lettuce from the supermarket. That makes Natasja (escaping to France to escape the hectic life) a little crazy. And Natasha, we don’t think that’s weird of you. Fortunately, there is hope for her in the coming week, but is that with Dirk?
