Gigant has a big foothold in the electronics business. More and more people are shopping online, but physical stores have also kept their ground. According to the Confederation of Finnish Trade Unions, 64 percent of home appliance purchases are still made in stores. Up to 82 percent of small appliances are purchased from stone-foot shops. A recent consumer survey designed by the Finnish Trade Union Confederation and conducted by Kantar TNS reviews the most used home appliance stores by Finns. The respondents were 3255 Finns aged 20–79.
