We are responsible for making this statement on the VAR records that were first announced by the Turkish Football Federation “through official sources”.
We followed the VAR records of Gaziantep FK-Beşiktaş played on 25 December 2022 and Demir Grup Sivasspor-Galatasaray played on 29 December 2022, which disturbed the conscience of the public, with horror and sadness.
These records, which play with the fate of many teams both on the summit and on the relegation line, and that the Super League is not governed within the framework of justice, are a black mark that will go down in the history of Turkish football.
However, it is also a milestone for our football to be cleaned from chronic referee disasters, which is a major factor in the brand value of Turkish football in this situation.
While only some of the events that have caused the chaos that have been experienced for seasons have come to light today;
For the first time, the Turkish Football Federation has put forward a precautionary and action-oriented attitude. This attitude is the most sincere indicator of the transparent management approach. We thank them for their responsible attitude.
We find this step, which we consider as a milestone regarding the scandals in our football, extremely valuable, and we emphasize that we will follow the referee assignments and referee performances.
In addition, we bring to the attention of the public that we will follow the developments and the steps to be taken regarding these events, which we see as an extraordinary situation beyond the referee’s error.
We hope that these names that pollute football and every extension of these names among Turkish football stakeholders, if any, will be deleted from our football.
