There have been no updates for Samsung phones for months and there is nothing that can be done

Samsung phone users will have to wait for the company to fix the update problem.

Samsung has been releasing major Android updates better, but currently the problem is with Google Play system updates. Some Galaxy devices haven’t received those updates for months.

Google Play System updates distributed outside of major Android updates make changes to certain features that are usually associated with Google to the products. For example, in the latest Google Play system update, changes were made to the Play Store and the ability to scan qr codes was added to the Google Wallet application.

Some Samsung Galaxy phones have not received updates for a few months or even longer. The problem apparently affects several Galaxy devices and Android versions, reports GalaxyClub.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy S23 Ultra were stuck on the July 2023 update, while the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 were stuck on the October version. The Galaxy A52 was in the September version and the Galaxy A34 in the August version.

In all cases, checking for available updates resulted in a message stating that the device is up to date, 9to5 Google in turn tells.

It is not known what exactly has caused the problem, but it is apparently not the first time this has happened. At the beginning of 2023, there was talk of a completely similar case where Galaxy devices were stuck on an old version.

Users who have fallen victim to the problem cannot currently do anything about it, as updates cannot be downloaded manually. However, the problem has already been fixed once, so presumably it can be fixed again.
