Leermens is located in the north of the province, about 5 kilometers northeast of Loppersum. The village has about 200 inhabitants and every three years the Association Oldtimerdag Leermens holds an oldtimerdag in Leermens. Saturday morning dozens of old tractors, old cars and an old threshing machine come to the village.
Theo (81) from Uithuizen works again on the same threshing machine as 63 years ago
