Finland may face the United States in the semi-finals. The U.S. is headed for the semifinals as it leads 6-1 after two periods in its U20 World Cup quarterfinal match against Latvia. If the USA beats Latvia, it will very likely be the Young Lions’ semifinal opponent. However, the matter will not be confirmed until later on Tuesday evening, as Sweden must beat Switzerland in their own quarter-final match in order for the semi-final match between the USA and Finland to take place. If Switzerland beats Sweden, Finland will face the Czech Republic in the semi-finals.
