A few days later, he has found himself in the middle of an uproar. It is claimed in powerlifting circles that Booker is a transwoman, i.e. a biological man.
So far, Booker has not commented on the allegations. Those who follow the sport started to dig into the internet after the weekend’s race. The sports website reported on the matter Fitness Volt.
Doubts were raised by the fact that Booker’s statistics include only three international-level competitions – all from 2025.
An account bearing the name of Jammie Booker was also found on YouTube, where the user presented his own drawings. At the beginning of the eight-year-old video, the person says that he is transgender.
The arguments didn’t end with YouTube videos. According to Fitness Volt, some people have also brought up adult entertainment videos on the forums in which Booker allegedly appears.
Runner-up in the World’s Strongest Woman competition Andrea Thompson said after the race that he will no longer participate in that race. He did not elaborate on his comment.
Thompson’s trainer Laurence Shahlei in turn hinted more. In his opinion, Thompson won the race.
– This victory caused controversy. I still want to make one thing clear: everyone is allowed to be exactly the way they feel, but sport is sport and in sports women have their own leagues for a reason, Shahlei wrote.
