Yesterday, Monday ended in the world’s most prestigious chef competition Bocuse d’Or. The competition was won by France, second was Denmark and third was Sweden.
The Bocuse D’Or Final brought together the best chefs and their teams in 24 countries.
Although the Finnish team’s expectations were high, the team was not ranked in the top three, but 12th.
The Finnish team was injured in the competition, as some of the Kalavad dishes dropped to the floor. The remaining doses had to be cut to complete all the spots of the vadi.

The 24-person jury evaluates the doses based on taste, appearance, use of main raw materials and originality.
– Monday was a much tough day than Sunday. There were surprises and not all the favorites could reach the level that was expected. Many teams have had surprises and misfortune, as we do. When there is a tough competition sometimes – but our team is really good at the situation. The plates left on time and everything was on the plate that was planned for it, says Tuominen, Judge of the competition.
