Finnish grass-fed beef has been selected World Steak Challenge – competition as one of the best steaks in the world, says the release.
Atria’s steak won the world’s best grass-fed beef fillet series.
– In the opinion of the jury, Atria’s grass-fed beef stood out for its uniqueness and received recognition for the persistence of the taste and the pleasantly fresh taste of the steak, says Atria Finland’s director responsible for meat business and export Markku Hirvijärvi in the bulletin.
In the competition, the taste, tenderness and responsibility of the origin of the steaks were evaluated in particular. The grass-fed beef fillet series emphasizes an organic and sustainable production method that supports the circular economy and promotes biodiversity.
Atria’s Danish partner JN Meat International participated in the competition with Atria’s products again this year.
Atria supplies Finnish beef to its partner JN Meat International in Denmark, from which JN Meat selects the best pieces for the competition.
– We would like to thank all family farms and our partners for making international recognition possible. The win is once again proof of the strong professionalism of the operators, Hirvijärvi thanks in the press release.
This autumn, Atria has introduced the Nurminauta label on beef products, which tells about the origin of the meat. The marking means that the cattle have been fed Finnish grass and grain and no soy has been used in the feeding.
The World Steak Challenge competition has been organized since 2015.
