In the Oulu GP race, men’s 100 were pushed to a huge ride when South Africa Gift Leotlela Pupped the race with a time 10.02.

Despite the peak time, the man was not happy with his own performance.

– The race didn’t go as I would have hoped because I got a really bad start. But the track feels fast, so I just tried to relax and not panic, Leotlela explained after the race.

A new Mondo was put on the Oulu Athletics Field this summer, which received praise from one or another competitor in the athlete’s rest area.

Leotlela belongs to this group.

– I tested it yesterday in practice, and I think it looked really new. It was really good.

Finland is not a new place for a South African. He has competed in Finland before and enjoyed every moment in the Nordic countries. He arrived in Finland two days before the Oulu Motonet GP.

– It’s always been a good weather here when I’m here. The sun does not seem to fall at all, and people are really friendly and hospitable.

The Leotlela race season is by no means over. His main sight of the season is looming in Japan.

– My goal is to come out of Tokyo with the medal. First I have to get to the finals where anything can happen.

The Tokyo World Championships will begin on September 13th.

The best of the Leotlela season is 9.98 in the zero wind in June. His record is 9.94 from 2021.

The best Finn in the competition was Vantaa Salamoen Riku Illukka 10.36. Time was the best of the man’s season.
