A few days after the World Cup in Oberhof, the next highlight is coming up for German biathlon fans. In the Chiemgau Arena in Ruhpolding, the DSV ski hunters are once again fighting for podium places – in front of a big crowd: the organizers are expecting up to 65,000 spectators this year.

The women started with the relay race on Wednesday. After the setback in Oberhof, when the DSV women only achieved fifth place, a long way behind the winners from France, a top result was achieved again in Ruhpolding. Franziska Preuß and Co. only had to admit defeat to the French and Swedish women.

The German men also celebrated a relay podium finish on Thursday. The DSV quartet achieved second place at the home World Cup.
