Ane Farstad doesn’t understand Joy Beune’s solution at all.
Joy Beune believes that the Playboy project will increase the interest of the sport. PDO
Dutch speed skater Joy Beune poses naked on the cover of the December issue of the Dutch Playboy magazine. The magazine was immediately sold out.
– This has never been seen before, the editor-in-chief of Pijper Media, which publishes Playboy in Holland, was surprised Niek Stolker.
The circulation was so huge that the magazine was quickly reprinted.
– Usually new editions are made of books, not magazines, Stolker stated to the Dutch Ad.
Beune said after the filming that he was proud of his own body, but the woman’s former rival Ane Farstad24, doesn’t understand the Dutchman’s solution at all.
– It’s really wrong, Farstad growled Dagbladet in the interview.
In his view, Beune’s nude pictures are not good for the sport and its image.
– There is nothing wrong with being proud of your trained body, but selling your own body to a magazine has nothing to do with elite sports.
Farstad stopped speed skating at the beginning of the year. He couldn’t imagine that he himself would join a similar Playboy project.
– No, I could never do that.
Exact terms
Beune said after the project that he had exact conditions regarding the filming.
– Breasts are not a problem for me. They are part of Playboy, but I absolutely did not want vagina pictures and the like. They respected that, Beune said.
The Dutchman completely disagreed with Farstad on how posing in Playboy could affect speed skating as a sport. He believes that the bold solution will increase the popularity of speed skating instead of harming the sport.
– I wanted to show that skating is a cool sport. I feel that especially young people think of it as an old-fashioned sport. I think it’s the most beautiful thing there is.
Last February, Beune won the World Championship gold at 5,000 meters.
