As part of the Berlin Fashion Week, seven young fashion talents were awarded the European Fashion Award 2025. The ceremonial award ceremony took place as part of the Neo.Fashion and was opened with a fashion show.
The award -winning work is characterized by a strong awareness of sustainability and social responsibility. The jury was particularly pleased with the multitude of innovative knitting experiments-a commitment that was recognized by an additional special price. This price was sponsored by Iris by Arnim.
At the students, the first prize went to Alma Jørgensen from the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin. The second prize won Timo Kurz from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and the third prize was awarded to Kolja Sörgel, also by the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin.
The winner in the Bachelor area was Jon Liesenfeld, AMD Akademie Mode & Design Düsseldorf. The second prize went to Jing-Jie Huang from the Reutlingen University.
The winner of the first prize for the master students and the special prize Strick is Minerva Skyttä from Aalto University. The second prize went to Sophie Schmidt from the Faculty of Textile Design of the Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle Castle.
