The life story that was revealed to be a lie will be reviewed again on TV. At the center of everything is Misha Defonsecawhich does not really exist. It just is Monique “Monica” Ernestine Josephine De Wael.
The memoirs of Monique, who appeared as Misha, appeared in 1997. The story was amazing. The Nazis killed the parents of a little Jewish girl in a concentration camp. The daughter grew up in a cold foster family as a secret child. He had to pretend to be Catholic to survive. At the age of seven, the child set out to find his parents on foot. He traveled from Belgium to Germany with a pack of wolves. One gray female became a mother figure to the girl. Wolves protected the little man when World War II raged around. A new life began in the USA, and eventually Misha also told his story that moved the whole world. The book became an international bestseller, and a movie was also made.
Little by little, Misha’s true identity began to be revealed, when attention was paid to the different spellings of his name. Over
Suspicions of a holocaust hoax soon began. It turned out that Misha wasn’t Misha at all and wasn’t Jewish either. He grew up in his grandparents’ house and, like others his age, went to school in Brussels.
Misha refused to participate in the making of the documentary, but the American Newsweek has told about his stages. In 2008, Misha confessed that he had fabricated everything.
– The book is not the real truth, but it is my truth, he told the Belgian For Le Soiras cited by Newsweek.
– Sometimes it is difficult for me to separate reality and my inner world.
Misha asked for forgiveness from those who felt they had been betrayed.
– But I beg them to put themselves in the position of a little four-year-old girl. The girl has lost everything and she has to find out, Misha begged.
According to Newsweek, Misha lives in Massachusetts, USA. According to a local resident, tens of thousands of dollars were donated to Misha while his story was still believed to be true. Over
Misha really lost his parents in the war. They belonged to the resistance movement. A Catholic before his deportation to a concentration camp Robert-father broke down during interrogations and revealed the other members of the movement. As a result, Misha began to be called the traitor’s daughter. Soon he began to feel Jewish and became interested in wolves.
Newsweek according to Misha was ordered to pay 22.5 million euros to the publisher of his book in 2014.
