They were one of the pioneers of mass tourism by bus in the 1960s, the very first double-deck touring bus rolled out of their factory and almost every Belgian has ever been in a Van Hool. Yet the iconic bus builder from Lier – still a family business after 77 years – is facing a possibly difficult restructuring. How did it come to this?
