The White Stripes release collected lyrics book

Rare photos, alternative lyrics and rough drafts of tracks can also be found in the work.

The White Stripes have announced the release of a book compiling all of the duo’s lyrics. The work is entitled “The White Stripes Complete Lyrics” and will be released on October 3, 2023. In addition to the lyrics listed, more than 300 pages also include never-before-seen rough drafts of songs, rare photos and even alternative lyrics to some of their greatest ones find hits.

There are also guest contributions from poets Caroline Randall Williams and Hanif Abdurraqib, as well as official The White Stripes archivist and Third Man Records co-founder Ben Blackwell. If that’s not enough for you, you can also secure a limited edition with a signed Jack White bookplate.

The book announcement follows a spate of anniversary merchandise and reissues after the duo celebrated the 20th anniversary of their album ELEPHANT earlier this year.

The record was released as a deluxe reissue, which included an HD audio remaster of the tracks as well as footage from a live performance from their 2003 tour. Also on April 21, 2023, The White Stripes released the music video for the ELEPHANT track “Black Math”. A remastered version of Sofia Coppola’s 2003 music video for “I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself” and a new one were released on March 31, 2023 Ball and Biscuit Visualizer“, also an ELEPHANT song.
