Jack and Meg White celebrate the new issue of MUSIKEXPRESS by sharing the cover on Instagram along with info on the exclusive vinyl single – all out May 11th.
The White Stripes, Jack White and his label Third Man Records are also looking forward to the June issue of MUSIKEXPRESS: all three artist profiles have shared the cover of the new issue on Instagram. The booklet, which will be available on newsstands on May 11, 2023, features Jack and Meg White as well as an exclusive vinyl single by the White Stripes.
The anticipation is increased that in addition to the big title story, there will also be a vinyl single with “Seven Nation Army” as a 2012 remaster on the A side. And the B-side in turn features a live recording of the track “Little Cream Soda” from 2003. This would not appear as a studio version until four years later, on Meg and Jack White’s final album, ICKY THUMP.
The 7″ single comes in a sturdy, carefully designed cardboard sleeve and on heavyweight vinyl. It is only available with MUSIKEXPRESS and not in record stores.
On Instagram, users are happy about the news shared on the three channels. For example, it says there: “I wish American magazines would do something like that too.” Others wish for a reunion of the White Stripes directly in the comment column or simply celebrate the upcoming release with lots of emojis.
