On a warm and bright spring night in Buenos Aires, Juan Cruz Ávila and María “Mery” Guastavino officially sealed a love story that had already been a consolidated family for years. The celebration coordinated by Marisa Monteserin of Borderline productions took place in the traditional Tequilaone of the most emblematic clubs on the Costanera, this time converted into the scene of a party full of figures from entertainment, politics and the media, with a musical closing by the Cordoban sensation: Luck Ra.
A couple with history
Ávila, a businessman and producer with extensive experience in Argentine television — remembered for his role in hosting content on LN+ and for his recent arrival at América TV and A24 — arrived at the event accompanied by the three children who make up his blended family. his wife, Maria Guastavinoa psychologist by profession and with a much more reserved profile, has maintained a life away from the media world for years, but she was the absolute protagonist of the night with an ivory satin dress, delicate and modern, that captured everyone’s attention.
Together they have two children: Facundo Cruz and Lucaswho actively participated in the civil ceremony and celebration. Added to them MalenaÁvila’s eldest daughter, fruit of a previous relationship. The five formed an emotional postcard during the afternoon, when they shared an intimate lunch at Faena to celebrate the civil ceremony before heading to the big celebration.
The big yes and the most anticipated party
After nine at night, the warm lights of Tequila welcomed some 350 guests who paraded along a red carpet worthy of a premiere. The setting combined crimson flowers, airy curtains and a play of lights that gave the bowling alley a sophisticated and festive air.

Among the guests, figures such as Mauricio Macri, Baby Etchecopar, Mariana Fabbiani, Pamela David, Ángel de Brito, Marina Calachó, Sergio Lapegüe, Rodrigo Lussich and a long list of personalities from the media who wanted to accompany the bride and groom stood out. The dance floor exploded early with DJ sets specially created for the night, performances by dancers and a surprise show that included drag queens, in a nod to the most modern Buenos Aires parties.
Ávila, in a classic tuxedo, and Guastavino, in radiant white, appeared relaxed, smiling and surrounded by friends. “We are a family of five, very close. We needed to take this step“He said during the night, in reference to a wedding that the couple had been postponing since the pandemic.

An ending of pure music
Near dawn, the lights went down and the murmur was cut off for just seconds before the collective shout broke out: Luck Ra appeared for the musical closing. With their mix of quartet and urban pop — today one of the most popular fusions in the country — they unleashed a party that lasted until late, with the bride and groom in the center of the dance floor, dancing surrounded by their children, friends and colleagues.
The wedding was not only an outstanding social event: it was, above all, the consecration of a bond that was already built from everyday life. In the middle of spring in Buenos Aires, with the Costanera as witness and a climate of total celebration, Juan Cruz Ávila and María Guastavino transformed an ordinary night into an unforgettable moment, with brilliance, music, affection and a declaration of love that, this time, was formal and in front of everyone.
