The autumn holidays are about to start in Zoetermeer. Will you be able to walk through the Dobbepark with its colorful trees next week or will you have to enjoy yourself indoors because it is raining?

The first weekend of the autumn holidays looks dry and quite sunny, says Berend van Straaten, meteorologist at weeronline.nl. “The weather will be a bit more changeable in the new week.”

Relax in the sun

Time to go out! The first weekend seems perfect for a day outside. “It will remain dry and we will probably get broad clear skies,” says Berend. “There is a chance of some fog or mist in the morning, but then the sun takes over.” The temperature is around 12 to 14 degrees, but with the sun it is nice to stay.

First frost

The night leading up to Sunday will be remarkably cold, according to Berend. “Even a degree of frost is not excluded.” That would be the first frost of the fall! So get the hats and gloves out of the closet.

Umbrella at the ready

Bad news for holidaymakers in their own country: the dry and calm weather of the weekend is short-lived. The weather will be a lot more changeable in the new week. “The shift of the wind to the southwest brings showers and areas of precipitation from the Atlantic Ocean,” says Berend. “The umbrella will therefore be needed regularly.” Time for that one anyway last minute Considering a holiday in the sun?
