The video of the violent expulsion of a Paris councilor from the PSG stadium for a banner in support of Jenni Hermoso

A feminist groupbetween them environmental councilor Alice Coffin, denounced on Monday the “violent response” of Parc des Princes security to the display of a banner against sexual violence on Sunday during the D1 women’s clash between Paris and Lyon.

“Last night we were with Les Dégommeuses (collective against discrimination in sport, editor’s note) at the Parc des Princes for PSG-Lyon,” declared Alice Coffin on Twitter, accompanied by a video. “We put up a banner in support of Jenni Hermoso and Kadidiatou Diani who reported sexual assaults. “This was followed by a violent response from PSG security.”

In the video, a security officer asks Alice Coffin, who is seated, to accompany him to the exit, before attempting to forcibly take her away when she refuses, in the face of strong public protest.

“The banner said +JENNI, KADI, WE BELIEVE YOU+ #SeAcabo” (“It’s over”), said Alice Coffin. The slogan was used by the Spanish national team players after the scandal of the forced kiss on Jenni Hermoso by the president of the Spanish federation Luis Rubiales, who resigned on September 10.

Kadidiatou Diani, for her part, filed a complaint of sexual assault against former PSG coach Didier Ollé-Nicolle in June, and the Versailles prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation.

“We handed her over to the authorities when she arrived. The action was peaceful,” said Alice Coffin. “We emphasized that it was a feminist message, that it denounced attacks, and that responding with other attacks was very symbolic.”

According to her, “the security chief who came to calm his troops, unfortunately a little late, recognized that the intervention methods were not functional.”

And the ecologist concluded, in reference to the chants sung by thousands of ultras during the match against Marseille on September 24, which was left without sanction by the club.

Contacted by AFP, a PSG source explains that the The mission of the security services is to intervene as soon as a banner is displayed in the stadium that he has not controlled. However, this banner had been hidden from them at the entrance to the Parc des Princes.
