On Eppela the crowdfunding project to support the official amputated football team: 40 days to reach 5,000 euros, which will become 10,000
In football there are goals that are worth much more than three points. They are those of the unsurpassed, the official football team amputated born from the experience of a project that in 13 years has involved over 800 athletes with all types of disabilities throughout Italy, thanks to the 18 offices present throughout the national territory. Today this group launches a challenge off the pitch: a crowdfunding campaign on Eppela called “But what obstacle?”. The mission is clear: collect 5,000 euros by 25 October 2025. If the finish line is reached, the figure is doubled up to 10,000 euros, thanks to the co -financing.
What funds are used for

The money collected will be used to buy crutches, tapes and fundamental medical kit for the safety of athletes, to organize national gatherings and welcome new players. “The barriers exist, but we have the task of transforming obstacles into challenges and working daily to obtain a company as inclusive as possible”, explains Davide Leonardi, the president who in 2012 decided to leave a safe job to devote himself to the soul and heart to this reality.

Amputated football has been official discipline since 2017: 7 against 7 is played, with goalkeeper amputated in the upper limbs and players in the lower limbs using crutches. Two times of 25 minutes, particular rules and an energy that overwhelms those who look. Today the team has 20 athletes and 5 coaches, but the dream goes further: to become a national reference point and open a youth sector for boys and girls with amputations.

Each contribution brings the team closer to the finish line and the doubling of the figure. Because in sport as in life, the unsurpassed teach that running does not necessarily mean having two legs: it means having a dream and the strength to chase it.
