If you like camping, have money too much and want to show off the most luxurious caravan of the campsite, then you have to go to Grave. Three years ago they already sold the largest and most expensive caravan in Europe. And now there is another more expensive for sale. It may be a little less long, but it is completely tailor -made, so you can even survive in the middle of nowhere for a week. Price tag? 160,000 euros.

And that is a incentive if we can believe the seller. Because the caravan left the store exactly a year ago for 243,000 euros.

He was then completely tailor -made with numerous extra options. That is also what makes him so expensive. “That customer has used him a few times,” says employee Thijs Hoeben. “He moved to Dubai and couldn’t take the caravan with us, so we can now sell it again.”

According to Thijs, you can’t think of it that it is in it. A luxury bed, air conditioning, two televisions, underfloor heating, kitchen with all the trimmings, built -in vacuum cleaner and even a toilet that literally burns your stools. “The ash ends up at the bottom of the drawer and you will never have to walk with your waste tank to the toilet block again,” says Thijs.

The previous owner also had electrical facilities processed in the dresser with Megasterke batteries, Thijs shows. “As a result, with this caravan you can stay somewhere for a week where you don’t have access to electricity.”

“With a polo it it becomes difficult to draw this caravan.”

You have to be a good driver, because the caravan is almost 10.50 meters long. For comparison: an average caravan is about six meters long. This also makes it the second largest rut hut in Europe. The longest, of almost twelve meters, is also in Grave. “If you have an SUV, you can easily pull it. But with a polo it becomes a bit more difficult,” laughs Thijs.

You hit such an expensive colossus – in Grave or All Places – Not lost on the paving stones? “Yes, I suspect he’s gone here,” says Thijs with a smile. “People come from all over the world here. We really have several customers per year who buy these kinds of caravans.”

Yet the caravan is not really suitable for the average camper. “Because of its height you can’t go to all campsites. And to drive around every weekend, it is not really handy,” says Thijs. “This is usually purchased as a holiday home, moving office or by people who, for example, are at fairs or build fairs.”
