In the city court of Omsk the verdict was announced to the father, who repeatedly beat his son and stepdaughter. But, despite the punishment, children are unlikely to be able to breathe a sigh of relief. In fact, the man had already served his sentence in the form of 8 months in a colony, since the court counted the time spent in the pre-trial detention center.
To her husband – with her chest, to the press – with her back. During the announcement of the verdict, the wife of the Omsk tyrant – as journalists dubbed Eduard Yunusov – until the last moment covered the head of the family, who beat and kept their children at bay.
The footage, so to speak, from the family archive, from which goosebumps, became indisputable evidence in a criminal case. Here Eduard Yunusov lifts his six-year-old son in front of him and throws him face down. Nearby, an eight-year-old daughter screams in horror, trembles and huddles against the wall. A few seconds later, the sadistic father grabs the girl and also throws her on the floor. This video was shot by Edward’s wife. I sent it to a relative – she decided not to be silent and posted it on the Internet. This is how the whole country learned about domestic violence in the Omsk family.
“The father used torture against the children as a punishment, put them in a position in the support, lying on their elbows. Thus, the children stood in the plank for a long time. He also beat them with a belt,” said Alena Sayun, assistant prosecutor of the Central District of Omsk.
Children after such an execution required medical attention. The kids had numerous bruises. But psychological trauma is much more serious. The investigation of the high-profile story was taken under personal control by the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.
45-year-old Yunusov was detained. In the investigator’s office, the tyrant’s courage vanished in an instant. He said that he went overboard with alcohol and generally beat because he loved … The public did not believe such statements.
“No matter how anyone tries to justify himself, when he raises his hand to children, to little angels who cannot answer. This is monstrous, this is not a man, this is a monster,” said Anatoly Kucherena, chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, a lawyer.
At the same time, the words of the mother of the children sounded ridiculous and frightening. Alena Yunusova from the very beginning tried to justify her fiend husband. Like, he was simply out of sorts, and therefore could not control his emotions. And there are many such monstrous stories. For example, in Chelyabinsk, parents are being tried, who, presumably, beat their seven-month-old son to death, and then staged his abduction … Or a sensational video from Sochi, where the would-be father was waving his baby like a doll. Mother at this time was having fun off-screen.
Experts say that parental cruelty arises from the psychological problems of the adults themselves. And children simply become a means of taking out anger.
“Systemic assault does not have an educational function. Even a slight slap disorganizes a child, depriving him of the ability to understand the very cause of the conflict with the parent, and regular abuse causes irreversible changes in his psychological and sometimes intellectual development,” explained Alexey Ermolin, educational psychologist.
In the case of the Omsk story, some lawyers and social activists demanded that the mother be brought to justice. Say, she is an unwitting accomplice in a crime: she did not stop her husband and did not report tyranny to the police.
But only his father listened to the verdict – Eduard Yunusov, previously convicted of theft. He was attracted on two counts: for failure to fulfill parental responsibilities for raising children and for torture.
The prosecutor’s office demanded five years in a general regime colony for the family tyrant. As a result, the verdict surprised everyone – only 8 months, which Yunusov, it turns out, had already served in the pre-trial detention center. The court counted this term and released the defendant in peace. Like, he didn’t kill …
The Omsk tyrant, meanwhile, has already returned to the children, whom he mocked. Lawyers, investigators and prosecutors are mildly shocked by the verdict. After all, the case caused a great resonance. And history itself is a case when one can hardly get rid of repentance alone. Where such mercy of Themis to her sadistic father comes from is not clear. The prosecutor’s office plans to appeal the verdict.
