One of the most famous Finnish racing horses in the beginning of the millennium, the warm-blooded BWT Magic, has died at the age of 29.
Known as “Muppi”, the horse was closed on Tuesday, according to a Facebook update published by Vermo Arena.
BWT Magic, who competed between 1999 and 2003, belonged to the Salmi family for almost thirty years. For example, it defended Finnish colors in Elitloppet in 2001. Elitloppet is one of the world’s largest racing competitions and one of Sweden’s largest sports events.
BWT Magic was particularly dear to the Vermo audience. The publication explains how the stallion is one of the four completely Finnish-owned Finlandia winners and, along with Born Quick, another winner of the big Finnish Derby who has succeeded in conquering Finlandia.
The uniqueness of BWT Magic is illustrated by the fact that the horse won domestic international major competitions at the age of four at Kymi Grand Prix and St Michel.
BWT Magic succeeded at the turn of the 2000s. IL Archive
