Almost four in ten 11-year-old Flemish girls consider themselves too fat, and one in ten is already on a diet. The figures for minors and eating disorders are staggering. Our reporter followed a day in the Antwerp eating clinic for children. Teens, parents and psychiatrists say: “My eating disorder gave me rules. If I followed that, then we were friends. If I didn’t follow it, he was angry.”
