THE‘TREE
Type: comedy Esistenzial-Malincica
Director: Sara Petraglia. With Tecla Insolia, Carlotta Gamba, Cristina Pellegrino, Carlo Gisk, Stella Franco

A twenty year old decides to go and live with a friendwithout knowing well what he wishes to do, perhaps writing, perhaps something else. He only knows that to live he needs cocaineor rather: she is sure not to be dependent on it, but then every day she wants to use it and the money received from her parents never miss.

It doesn’t happen much more – a few rides by bicycle, some drinks at the bar, a few vague ones on the university – but in this unusual portrait of a youth without desires as well as without joy (but also without regrets) In the end you stay on you the sense of a generation that has found itself without knots and without goals, not even conscious of what was wasting.

At the origin there are the memories of the newcomerdaughter of a applauded screenwriter, but it would be wrong to want to look for autofition. Rather there is the impalpable fragility of an existence that finds its perfect incarnation in the melancholy face yet radiantly of its protagonist, Tecla Insolia, capable of making a character at risk of stereotypes authentic. Maybe a star was born.

For those who want to find out how an actress know how to illuminate a movie.
