The travelogue of a 24-year-old medical student in Napoleon’s army

Napoleon Bonaparte is still known as a great military genius. The flip side is that millions of soldiers died or were injured in the battles he fought. The need for doctors was therefore great. The Dutch scientist Emile Blomme discovered a travel report of a 24-year-old Flemish medical student from Nevele, who started working as a surgeon in Napoleon’s Grande Armée. His name was Carolus Blomme (no relation to the author).
