The touching story behind Niko Saarinen’s Masked Singer Suomi outfit: “I fell in love”

Niko Saarinen says that he was so attached to the Nöp character that he felt sad to leave the outfit in the show’s dressing room.

Masked Singer Finland – program’s sixth runner-up is the Nöpö character. The adorable dog character performed on Saturday, October 14 Robin’s a song For you and got many in the festive mood.

Behind the mask, the radio host of the year was revealed Niko Saarinen37, who described the experience as fun.

– It’s a shame that I dropped out, but fortunately I was able to present three performances, Saarinen was happy in the program.

Saarinen lets his social media followers go behind the scenes of the program for a while in his Instagram stories. He reveals that Nöpö’s character was inspired by his dog London, who died in July.

– I said that I would like to be a dog – a chihuahua. Of course, the character was born from my late dog London. Based on that, the suit was then made and designed, Saarinen says in his story section.

Saarinen reveals that changes were made to the outfit before the broadcasts.

– We changed Nöp’s eyes a bit, because I think they were too scary at first.

In the second part of his story, Saarinen reveals that he experienced longing when he had to leave his character due to his fall.

– I became so attached to you. It was so wonderful to be a part of this and it’s so sad that Nöp will stay here in the dressing room when I leave, he says in the video of the story section.

– I shed a few tears when I left that studio, he writes in the caption of the video.
