The consultant Polyarchy published its annual ranking of the most respected journalists in Argentina, prepared from a survey among leaders and opinion makers in the country.

The survey ranked first Carlos Pagnifollowed by Jorge Liotti and Hugo Alconada Monthree references of political analysis and journalistic investigation.

According to the report, the ten most respected journalists are:

  2. Jorge Liotti
  3. Hugo Alconada Mon
  4. Diego Sehinkman
  5. Nelson Castro
  6. Ernesto Tenembaum
  7. Joaquín Morales Solá
  8. Maria O’Donnell
  9. Diego Cabot
  10. Eduardo Feinmann

Widely recognized journalists also appear in the rest of the roster, such as Jorge Fontevecchia, Alfredo Leuco and Jose del Rioamong others.

How the study was carried out

The ranking is part of the Annual Survey of Leaders and Opinion Makerswhose objective is to know the establishment’s view on the main issues of the country and the prospects for 2026.

As detailed by Poliarquía, the study was carried out between December 17, 2025 and January 7, 2026 through an online survey. The participants were selected randomly from a wide list of leaders, businessmen, academics, analysts and references from the public sphere.

The consultancy defines opinion leaders as those people who, due to their position, knowledge or resources, have the capacity to influence the attitudes and behaviors of public opinion.

Top 10 journalists

After knowing the ranking, some of the distinguished people expressed their gratitude on social networks, such as Eduardo Feinmann who published: “Thanks to Poliarquía for highlighting it. For me it is an honor to be among the 10 journalists most respected by leaders and opinion formers.”
