The Summit Finland starts today.

The new adventure series has caused a stir even before the first episode has been shown.
The Summit Finland is based on an Australian reality show that has also been made in other countries. Last summer, a competitor died during the Swedish version, Bergetdescriptions. A father of three who suffered from high blood pressure Mark Holmer51, suffered a heart attack while on duty. We also see that task in the opening episode.
Swedish in Berget had the same goal as in the Suomen Summit: to conquer Norway’s national mountain Stetinden. In the first task, the contestants have to cross the gorge using a suspension bridge. It was this task that became Holmer’s destiny. He fell off the bridge, got caught in the safety net and moments later had a heart attack. There were doctors at the scene, but no defibrillator. Heart union according to the defibrillator aims to remove the harmful arrhythmia that stopped the heart.
In Finland, 14 competitors will go on the trip, who have shared a prize pool of 150,000 euros among their teams. MTV3
Berget’s filming was not continued. Presentation channel of TV4 according to the doctors had given the green light to Holmer’s participation after a health examination. However, the health care company that conducted the inspection said for SVTthat they had not given their approval. TV4 denied Holmer’s family access to the production’s medical evaluation.
The Summit in Finland crossing the suspension bridge creates real difficulties, especially for a few competitors. One of them falls down and thus does not continue in the race. At the same time, the portion of the sum of money carried by the fallen competitor in his bag is removed from the prize pool. It is 150,000 euros in the beginning, but in the end only the money that travels to the top of Stetinden is counted. There is a hundred kilometer journey over demanding terrain, and there is 15 days.
