More than a six-piece Rescue Me! – The story of dogs – the last episode of the documentary series will be shown today. It shows how Naava, Harri-Tapio and Vieno, brought to Finland from Romanian kennels, have adapted to their new lives.

There are also challenges for an animal that has found a home. In the evening’s episode, Vieno’s back is examined with the help of X-rays. The dog found pregnant and with a broken paw at the bus stop is feared to be in pain.

Naava has a large open surgery on his back, as it had eaten, among other things, his glasses and a paring needle. It takes an old dog who came from difficult circumstances to learn to understand that there will be no shortage of food and that you don’t have to fight for it.

Harri-Tapio was labeled aggressive at the shelter. Now it has moved to live in a forest cabin with Juka. Together they try to learn to get rid of bad habits.

The episode also shows a last peek at the dog shelter in Romania, where a large number of dogs are still waiting for their own home.

Over the course of weeks, the touching documentary series has made its way into the hearts of Finnish viewers. This is evident from the comments on Yle’s Facebook post.

The commentators agree that watching with dry eyes is not possible.

– At first I thought I couldn’t watch the whole program, but somehow I had to. Handkerchief in hand, I watched and cried sometimes from joy and sometimes from sadness. Fortunately, the dogs in the story got good homes, one user commented.

– You can’t look at the amount of love people are willing to give without crying. I’m still moving!

– With a drop in my eye, I watched the program with such sadness and joy. These are wonderful people who participated in the program and adopted. Big hearts everyone and what understanding, patience despite the challenges.

– I all looked at one head and cried.

However, some also state that they didn’t watch the series completely, because seeing the miserable conditions in the kennels was considered too heavy.
