The United States will no longer engage in the “sham diplomacy” that Russia is engaging in with the escalation in Ukraine. This was stated by US State Department spokesman Ned Price, broadcast briefing was on the department’s YouTube channel.

Blinken canceled meeting with Lavrov

Despite this, the United States will remain open to negotiations with Moscow even under the worst-case scenario – in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine, including an attack on Kiev. Diplomacy should help prevent casualties, the department spokesman said.
