After the third Bundesliga game without a win in a row, unrest is growing at FC Bayern. The team is said to have first doubts about coach Julian Nagelsmann.
1-1 against Borussia Mönchengladbach, 1-1 at Union Berlin, most recently 2-2 against VfB Stuttgart: FC Bayern is in a crisis of results in the Bundesliga.
With the new leaders Union Berlin and SC Freiburg, two teams are ahead of the German record champions in the table after six matchdays – a situation that does not at all suit Munich’s claims despite the early season.
No wonder, then, that it crunches internally. If you believe one “Picture”report from Sunday evening, which refers to cabin internals, dissatisfaction with the tactical approach of coach Julian Nagelsmann is growing within the squad.
FC Bayern: Julian Nagelsmann voiced these criticisms
The fact that the 35-year-old was not very self-critical after the disappointing draw against VfB and instead publicly counted his stars is said not to have gone down well with them.
Nagelsmann had warned of his protégés’ lack of “aggressiveness in possession” and “a tad too much control” and “a little too little risk and greed forward”.
The head coach of FC Bayern even explicitly named Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sané and Jamal Musiala because they had missed chances for the third goal.
Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic also asked “Sport1” that the team had to “shift up three gears” on Tuesday in the Champions League cracker against Robert Lewandowski and his FC Barcelona. Barca recently presented themselves in the domestic league and the premier class in extremely strong form.
FC Bayern: referee attack by Oliver Kahn?
After the Stuttgart game, Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn’s nerves were apparently blank.
“Picture” reports on a verbal attack by the former goalkeeper titan on referee Christian Dingert in the catacombs of the Allianz Arena.
The penalty, which led to Stuttgart’s equalizer in added time, is said to have enraged Kahn.
