SM league club Mikkelin Jukurit informs that the attacker Jeremi Tammelan season ended with injury.
Tammela had a hard time last Saturday in the league match played in Mikkeli, when JYP defender Väinö Liikonen fell on top of him.
Tammela was treated with ice for a long time. He was carried out of the arena on a stretcher. Jukurit later said that Tammela was taken by ambulance for further examinations.
– Tammela got out of the hospital already on Saturday evening. However, the tests revealed an injury that will keep the passer away from the playing fields until the end of the season, Jukurit says.
Tammela managed to score 1+17=18 in 38 league matches this season. At the time of his injury, he was third in the league’s rookie point exchange.
As a team, Jukurit is in 14th place in the series.
