The top judge David Coote42, comes out of the closet in a recent interview with The Sun.
According to Coot, he has been known to his parents and closest friends for years, but he has not been publicly ready to tell about it before.
The man who condemned hundreds of Premiership matches says that the fight with his own identity has been mentally difficult.
– I have had problems with my self -esteem – and it is related to my sexuality. I’m gay and I’ve been struggling with my own appreciation for a long time, he says.
Cocaine
Cooten’s worst fear was that his sexual orientation would be revealed to others.
He says it has led to “encrypting emotions”.
– It’s a good trait for the judge, but scary to man. And it again led to all kinds of behavior.
Coote sought relief from intoxicants, including cocaine.
– There were long periods of time that I didn’t use it, but it was one of my escape. That I got out of stress and the ease of work. I feel tremendously ashamed that I chose the road.
Last November, a video of Cotete spread that ended his Premier League career. He barked in it for a former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp and said he hated the Liverpool people.
PGMOL, the Premier League Judges Association, separated Cooten in December.
