Rohan Dennis could end up in prison for seven years.

Former cycling star Rohan Dennis, 34, made a statement in court that could see him jailed for a maximum of seven years, Sky Sports news.
Dennis has been accused of killing his wife Melissa Hoskins. According to the indictment, the husband drove a pickup truck over Hoskins at their home in December of last year.
On Tuesday, Dennis pleaded not guilty to the charge of manslaughter. He admitted the secondary, lesser charge and that he had acted negligently.
Dennis’s lawyer Jane Abbey said his client was not trying to harm his wife.
What allegedly happened?
According to the police report, Hoskins jumped on the hood of the pickup truck Dennis was driving and tried to grab the door handle and stop the car.
According to the report, Dennis did not stop the car until Hoskins had fallen off the hood and was dragged along the road.
Hoskins was rushed to the hospital, where he died. Dennis was arrested immediately after the incident, but was released on bail.
The couple got married in 2018 and have two children together, a girl and a boy.
Hoskins was a successful cyclist himself, winning the World Championship gold in track cycling in 2015. Dennis is a world champion in both track and road cycling.
