Actually, The Rose was an indie band and was called the wind. Then Park Do-Joon, Lee Ha-Joon and Lee Jae-Hyeong decided to look for a fourth member for their band: They were able to win Kim Woo-Sung, who from now on acted as the main man. In 2017, they published the single “Sorry” under the new name The Rose, which gave them international attention.
In contrast to many other successful K-pop bands-such as BTS-The Music of The Rose is a mixture of pop and rock. They also play their instruments themselves, which is rather unusual in this genre. In 2018 they came to Germany for the first time, followed by further gigs in this country – and now also for 2025 show dates have been found in German realms. In the summer months it goes on large “Once Upon a Wrld” tour.
