The roof of a row of houses came down on Sunday night on the Kastanjeberg in Roosendaal. The cause was the strong wind. Solar panels also came down. Some ended up in a tree.
The fire brigade removed the loose parts of the roof using an aerial platform. The extent of the damage was still unclear on Monday morning. It is also not yet known how many houses have had their roofs blown away.
The strong wind also caused damage to the Paulusdonk in Roosendaal. A tree fell on a parked car there on Sunday night. The car was severely damaged. The fire brigade sawed the tree into pieces and put the pieces aside. A recovery company was called in to take the car away. No one was injured.
