The new version of the beloved classic film will premiere in September.
Renovated Comet in Moominland -the premiere date of the animated film has been announced. Revamped in terms of sound and color, the animation hits theaters on Friday, September 29. The film is based on Tove Jansson’s book of the same name from 1946.
It is a revised version of the beloved 1992 classic film. The new version has been technically renewed, and its sound world has been completely renewed. In the film, you will hear completely new music, and the dubbing is also completely different.

The announcement about the film says that the soundscape has been renewed while respecting the original spirit. The animation image has been updated to today’s film standards.
The film was produced by the creator, artistic director and producer of the original Moomin and Tails movie by Dennis Livson son Tim Livson.
The premiere of the film was postponed due to the corona pandemic. It was supposed to premiere already in September 2020.
The Moomins have also received new voices when Tales from Moominvalley – series broadcast rights were transferred from Yle to MTV in 2017. At that time, the new voices gathered a lot of criticism.
