Merivirta tells Iltalehti that originally one of the name options was Celen. When Merivirta changed the name to the letter S, it was clear to him that it would become the name of their daughter.
Merivirta says they have spent christening at the Temple Square in Helsinki.
– It was a really touching opportunity for everyone. Everyone was sensitized there. Personally, I woke up when Selen started crying in her godparents that I started to squeeze the Bible in my hand, he says with a little laugh.
Merivirta says she wanted to organize the event bigger, while Laurell wanted a more subdued and intimate party.
