High’s way to show melodifestivale on television has caused the spectators to be nasty. Finnish band Kaj represents Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest and the popularity of the band attracted Finns to the screens to excite the place of representation.
The Swedish Melodifestivale started at 9 pm Finnish time and ended at 11 pm Finnish time. Yle showed the broadcast on its TV1 channel, but it wasn’t until the live broadcast that the “Mello” on television was not seen as a live broadcast in Finland.
However, the broadcast was directly visible from Yle Arena. YLE’s solution was considered miserable and many clearly did not know that the broadcast on television was a trace. Many were frustrated with the unclear communication they had experienced.
– What does Yle do? Sends the program at 11 pm, so when the whole show has already ended, a X-user wrote in X.
YLE’s communications manager Anne-Mari Aaltonen tells Iltalehti that the broadcast was shown like previous competitions. The practice has previously been that they will be shown on television live in Yle Arena. The same practice also affected the Saturday night finale.
Aaltonen says that there has been some feedback to Yle.
– Of course, it is unfortunate that the live broadcast has passed by some viewers.
Ferocious number of spectators
The KAJ publications made on YLE’s Facebook page collected indignant comments. Many people wondered at YLE’s way of showing a broadcast on television, but at the same time declaring KAJ’s winning on social media.
– And this is how Yle expels viewers who have been able to make the late bridge by proclaiming the winner before the program, one updated.
– Star .. This broadcast began. You can go to bed, a viewer wrote.
Aaltonen adds that the feedback received is valuable and based on how to work better in the future.
– The melodifestivale grew into a really big phenomenon in Finland. It hasn’t been so big before, says Aaltonen.
A great interest in the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest was reflected in viewership. According to Aaltonen, the live broadcast shown in Yle Arena was very successful. On Saturday, it collected more than half a million boot sessions. On Sunday, there were already almost 606,000 start -ups.
