The Queen band completely surprised their fans. The rock band will release a song in late 2022 featuring the late Freddie Mercury.

Legendary singer Mercury died of AIDS in 1991 at just 45 years old. Mother Love remained his last song sung.

Band members Roger Taylor and Brian May said in a solemn interview with Radio 2 that they had found the song earlier, but they totally forgot about it.

They describe the recording they found as a gem to work on a song this year.

– Yes, we found this gem in Freddie before, and we kind of forgot about it. And so it was. It’s great, really this was a real discovery, Roger described the situation in a radio interview.

Members of the band told the radio presenter Zoe Ballillethat the production works hard to make the recording high quality. The Queen aims to put the parts of the recording together so that it can be used.

– The recording was hidden in a visible place. We looked at it many times and thought we couldn’t save it, guitarist May commented.
